Background

Ghana’s pursuit to achieve SDGs has increasingly brought to the fore, the growing need for private investments in SDG Projects.

The Central Region Investment Conference (CRIC), organized in partnership with the Central Region Coordinating Council (CRCC) will bring United Nations (UN body in charge of Social Infrastructure in Ghana), …..,

Heads of Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC), MiDA, the Coastal Development Authority, CEDECOM and prospective investors in the private sector amongst other stakeholders, to discuss ways in which private investors can partner Government to prepare, promote finance and execute profitable SDG projects to ensure sustainable districts. Against the backdrop that viable social interventions in infrastructural developments form a major component in the successful attainment of the SDGs and that such infrastructure cannot be effectively delivered without private sector involvement, this session, shall bring together major relevant stakeholders, to further discuss how Government can better promote and facilitate private investment for this purpose , mindful also that, private engagement in the provision of social interventions and public utilities can prove extremely complex and at the same time pose challenges to policymakers.
